Wiking pre-war harbour layout (Hafen II) boxed complete

A scarce waterline model harbour set in 1/1250 scale in wood/metal by the well known German maker Wiking. Produced in the 1938 period

An interesting, very scarce 1930s Wiking harbour set produced in the 1937/8 period.  Consisting of 20 pieces including several quays in wood with wood buildings/ sheds, warehouses  attached with factory hand applied detail in India ink. Quay with 3 oil tanks in wood with Standard, Esso and Essolube paper labels. A coal quay with 2 coal piles with what looks like real coal, pier sections ans mole ends with 1 red and one green Beacon in metal. Also includes 6 cast metal dock cranes. All parts are in excellent condition and look like they have never been out of the box.  The box is also very good, one small stain on edge of box and slight fading on edging but generally very good with excellent lid and printing  Box measures 365mm x 160mm x 25mm deep.   An incredible survivor from the early days of waterline ships.
