HMS Nelson RN Battleship 1930s 1:1800 scale

A solid cast waterline model in lead alloy produced in the late 1930s by UK toy company Timpo. Produced as a rival range to the more well known Dinky models of the same scale.  The model is in  good original finish, with   a little wear to paint, mainly along the edges and a few chips to paint along waterline ,complete with delicate tripod mast intact.  With 'HMS Nelson British Made' cast on base.  Approx. 120mm long.

A nice  true vintage model from the early days of waterline ship models and seldom seen.

These early models do contain lead so are not suitable as toys or for those under 14 years of age.
