SS Rex Italy 1930s ocean liner 1:1800 scale

A diecast waterline model in 1/1800 scale produced in the late 1930s by the famous UK maker Dinky.  The model is in  original condition, missing masts, the paintwork is a little faded and dusty with a little wear but not bad at all for a model around 90 years old. Most Dinky models suffer from metal fatigue to a greater or lesser extent and this one is showing a few hairline cracks but is not bowed. With a few slight age cracks to the paint and a small chip missing on waterline A very nice model and a great example of early waterline models. approx.152mm long.

These early models do contain lead so are not suitable as toys or for those under 14 years old.
