M752 Commando ship HMS Albion excellent boxed

A waterline model in diecast metal in 1/1200 scale from the the original 1959-65 Triang Minic series, produced in the UK.  

Probably the hardest to find model in the range -produced in 1965 at the end of  the line as a special edition to present to some the crew of HMS Albion and a few found their way into toyshops when Triang were clearing stock of the range..

The model was completely remade by the factory, still with the name HMS Albion beneath but with the number taken off by the factory. The deck was cast without the lines of the standard Triang carriers and a thin card deck marking was fitted. 

This model is in excellent condition. The mast is still in its original cellophane bag (the bag is a little fragile with age).   The deck marking is faded a little and is no longer glued to the deck but undamaged (this has tended to be the case in the few other examples of this model I have seen, the card was self adhesive and the adhesive has become non adhesive with age) .  The deck marking could easily be re-glued to the deck but I think it doesn't really matter anyway. The original tissue wrapping is also with the model and the box is also excellent, not faded with good clear printing on both ends one end has period light biro number written on.  Difficult to find a better one at a sensible price compared to some I have seen..
